Juiced RipCurrent S is a Power-house:

Let’s start by comparing the motor power first. The Juiced RipCurrent S has some serious torque to offer as it features a 1000W rear hub motor. A peak power of 1300W allows you to go for a top speed of 28mph on the pedal-assist mode. But there’s more to this ebike than just a powerful motor.

Juiced allows you to upgrade the 25A standard controller to a 36A controller. So, if you get the upgraded controller, you are looking at a peak power of 1865W. With the 36A controller, you get a top speed of 30mph on pure throttle. In pedal-assist mode, you can go up to 33mph. That’s some serious torque offered by the Juiced RipCurrent S here.

This performance upgrade will cost you around an extra $250. Please note that Juiced only allows this upgrade on the step-over version of the Juiced RipCurrent S which we are comparing here.

The Aventon Aventure 2 is not far behind with a 750W rear hub motor that offers you a peak power of 1130W. In the pedal-assist mode, you can reach a top speed of 28mph. But you’ll surely miss the 30mph pure-throttle fun that the Juiced RipCurrent S offers.

Battery:

The same is the case with the batteries of these two fat-tire electric bikes. The Juiced RipCurrent S offers a bigger 52V 19.2Ah (995Wh) battery. On pedal-assist, you can get a maximum range of up to 70 miles.

In comparison, the Aventon Aventure 2 features a smaller 48V 15Ah (720Wh) battery that offers a slightly lower maximum range of 60 miles.

Dual Sensors in the Juiced RipCurrent S:

Aventon Aventure 2 is one of the few affordable fat tire electric bikes that feature a torque sensor. But the Juiced RipCurrent S takes the game a step ahead by including dual-sensors.

Som you are getting both torque and cadence sensors in the Juiced RipCurrent S whereas the Aventon Aventure 2 features just a torque sensor.

Charging:

The Juiced Ripcurrent S comes with a 52V, 2 Amp charger which can give you a full charge within 6-7 hours. But Juiced allows you to get an optional upgrade to a 4A or 8A charger. Now, this is really exciting as the 8A charger can give you an 80% charge within just 2 hours.

The Cycle Satiator 52v 8A charger will add an extra $300 to your bill but it offers you super fast recharge. So, if you are planning to use an ebike regularly, this is a really nice feature to have. The Aventon Aventure 2 has a 48V 3A charger and there is no option to upgrade either.

LCD Display and App Support in Aventon Aventure 2:

The Aventon Aventure 2 offers a backlit LCD display and app support to track your rides. In contrast, Juiced RipCurrent S offers a monochrome display and there is no app connectivity on offer either.

So, Aventon Aventure 2 offers an option to track your rides via the dedicated app and you can tweak the settings as well!

Turn Signals:

Aventon Aventure 2 offers integrated rear lights with turn signals which improve your safety while riding the ebike. The Juiced RipCurrent S has integrated rear lights but has lacks turn signals.

Juiced RipCurrent S vs Aventon Aventure 2: Other Components

There is little difference between these two ebikes in this section. But we want to discuss these minute differences anyway.

So, Juiced Ripcurrent S has an L-TWOO A5 drivetrain which is lesser known in comparison to the Shimano Altus that the Aventure 2 features.

Both ebikes have hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors but the Aventure 2 has Tektro brakes instead of the Logan brakes that come with the Juiced RipCurrent S.

Finally, the front suspension is also different in these two ebikes as the Juiced RipCurrent S features an air suspension fork with 100mm of travel. The Aventure.2 comes with a coil suspension fork that offers a travel of up to 80mm. There are pros and cons to both of these fork types and we consider it as subjective matter.

Juiced RipCurrent S vs Aventon Aventure 2: Our Verdict

We would highly recommend that you go for the Juiced RipCurrent S with the performance upgrade. With the RipCurrent S, you can get a 30mph top speed on throttle, thanks to the 36A controller. You are also getting an extra range of 10 miles. And you can get super-fast charging with the optional 8A charger.

On the other hand, the Aventon Aventure 2 offers better display, app connectivity, higher payload capacity, and turn signals.

So, our choice is the RipCurrent S with the performance upgrade. A top speed of 30mph in throttle-only mode is just too good to overlook for us!
